Human resources to be trained The issues that have emerged in cancer care are that cancer survivors are required to make various treatment and recuperation decisions, and medical ethical issues are frequent, especially in ACP. In addition, conflicts (conflicts, frictions, and discrepancies) occur among patients/families and between healthcare providers and patients/families amidst the increasing complexity of society and families. It is necessary to train various coordinators and mediators to deal with these issues in a multidisciplinary and cooperative manner.

Characteristics of educational content The school actively utilizes ICT for convenience and interactive seminars so that students can study while working and from any location.
Guidance system Nagano College of Nursing Graduate School has conducted joint seminars with Kanazawa University (pediatric nursing), Yamanashi Prefectural University (cancer CNS), and St. Christopher’s University (cancer CNS). In addition, the school collaborates with the nursing departments of Shinshu University Hospital and other “base hospitals for cancer care” in Nagano Prefecture, as well as with the nursing department of Kanazawa University Hospital, making it easy for students to obtain mentors.
Career path of graduates A “Certificate of Participation” will be issued to those who participate in the “IPW Comprehensive Palliative Care Case Study Group. These will serve as accreditation points for various certificated persons.
The “Advanced Oncology Training: Solution-Oriented Approach” workshop for certified nurses (CNs) will serve as certification points for CNs for their renewal assessment.

Acceptance Goals We are collaborating with the Nursing Departments of Shinshu University Hospital and other “base Hospitals for Cancer Treatment” in Nagano Prefecture, the Nursing Department of Kanazawa University Hospital, and the Kanazawa University School of Health Sciences to secure participants.
